Plan your visit

Discover the world of cartoons with your class.

Cartoonists often look critically at everyday events in our lives, culture, and society. They often highlight typical human characteristics. By using humor, the more difficult themes become accessible to children and young people.

Pupils visit the current exhibition in groups (max. 35 per group) and learn about the world of cartoons through age-appropriate assignments. A debriefing is also provided.

A visit to the ECC lasts about 2 hours. All necessary materials are provided. Pupils are only asked to bring a pen.

Why visit the ECC with your class?

  • Learn how cartoons make complex ideas and current themes visually accessible
  • Develop your pupils' visual literacy and critical thinking skills
  • Use cartoons to discuss less obvious themes •
  • Let your pupils create their own cartoons
