Satyrykon (Legnica – Poland) is – together with Knokke-Heist, Kruishoutem, and Gabrovo (Bulgaria) – one of the oldest international competitions for cartoons and satirical art in general. In 2025, the competition will be in its 48th edition!
The cartoon contest is divided into two categories: one with a theme, this year 'The Lesser of Two Evils,' and a free theme around humor and satire. After the exhibition in Legnica - the selected works flew directly to Kruishoutem for a first international show.

With the exhibition My Friend: The Tree, the European Cartoon Center pays tribute to the Polish cartoonist Robert Szecówka – ROBS (1935–2020).
In this selection of cartoons, the tree takes center stage—not as a backdrop, but as a friend, a silent witness to the way people behave: funny, strange, and touching.
My Friend: The Tree is an invitation to look, to smile, and to listen to what ROBS has to share with us through his simple line and gentle humor.
