Luc Vernimmen was drawing comics already when he was a child. So, it was obvious that he has chosen an art formation of free graphics at the Sint-Lucaspaviljoen in Antwerp. Later on he followed sculpture courses at the Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp.
Regularly his works of graphic art and oil paintings can be admired at numerous exhibitions. He creates folders, logos and posters, but also illustrations for educational publications and books for young people. He is working as a freelance illustrator for different publishers such as Delubas, De Boeck, De Sikkel, Die Keure, Pelckmans, Plantyn, Standaard Uitgeverij ...
His other passion, music, runs like a continuous thread through his art works.
