Slawomir Luczynski was born in 1953 in Pabianice (Poland), where he still lives and work. He is one of the most famous Polish cartoonists and satirists.

 

He did win more than 80 prizes in international cartoon contests and 64 in national competitions. The Association of the Polish Cartoonists honored him with awards in the field of satire - twice with the Little Eric in 1998 and 2000 and once with the Great Eric in 2002. And also the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage awarded him three times for meritorious service for the culture.

 

Luczynski’s cartoons can be found in many different publications and magazines. The biggest collection of his works can be found in the Museum of the Contemporary History in Paris. The exposition in Kruishoutem is the 160th individual exposition of Luczynski.

 

You can visit this exhibition in the ECC from the 27th of September till the 20th of December 2020, every Sunday from 10 to 12 am and from 2 to 5 pm.
